How the AIQ 50 Is Constructed
The AIQ 50 is a daily-updated ranked list of the fifty stocks in the AlgovestIQ universe with the strongest composite AIQ Scores at the current snapshot. It is not a curated buy list, a portfolio recommendation, or an analyst coverage universe -- it is a systematic signal reflecting where quality, momentum, and risk-adjusted behavior are most favorably aligned right now, across the tracked universe of broadly followed US equities and ETFs.
The AIQ Score synthesizes five factor dimensions -- Momentum, Value, Quality, Risk, and Sentiment -- into a single composite score on a 0-100 scale. A score above 70 indicates a stock where the preponderance of observable signals is constructive: earnings quality is high, recent price behavior reflects positive momentum, risk metrics are within institutional tolerance, and valuation is not egregiously stretched relative to fundamental context. It does not mean the stock cannot decline -- any stock can decline. It means the evidence available to the model at this moment is net positive across the dimensions it tracks.
Membership in the AIQ 50 changes daily. Stocks enter when their composite score breaks into the top fifty; they exit when they fall below. The daily writeup above the table captures what changed since the previous snapshot -- entries, exits, and significant rank movements. Sustained membership (appearing in the AIQ 50 across multiple consecutive sessions) is more meaningful than a single-day appearance, which may reflect volatility in one sub-score rather than genuine broad-based signal improvement.
How to Read This Table
- AIQ Score (0-100): The composite score across all five factor dimensions. Above 70 is constructive; below 40 signals deteriorating conditions.
- Smart Score (1-10): A cross-validated composite that weights factors differently from AIQ, providing a second independent read on the setup.
- Momentum sub-score: Reflects recent price behavior relative to the market and sector. High momentum suggests institutional buying pressure is present.
- Quality sub-score: Reflects earnings quality, ROIC, and balance sheet durability. The highest-information single sub-score for longer-horizon investors.
- Risk sub-score (higher = safer): Captures volatility, drawdown, and beta context. Low Risk scores indicate elevated uncertainty in the current price behavior.
AIQ scores update daily based on observable market and fundamental data. Scores are systematic signals, not investment recommendations. Past score levels do not guarantee future price performance.
